Auditions

Resonance Dance Company holds auditions annually for new members. Dancers with strong interest in Contemporary and other dance styles are encouraged to audition.

CORE COMPANY

Our Core Company is open to dancers 18 years of age and older.

Resonance is both a performing and training company. Company members are expected to train consistently, develop their individual skills, and be prepared to learn and adapt to new choreography and techniques.

We are particularly interested in dancers who demonstrate an ability to learn, absorb new information, take direction, and grow. We love dancers who are willing to continually challenge themselves and invest in their development as artists.

What We Look For

  • Commitment to Training

  • Ability to Learn & Adapt

  • Reliable Transportation

  • Professional Attitude

  • Long-Term Dance Goals

  • Willingness to Work as Part of an Ensemble

RESONANCE APPRENTICE PROGRAM

Dancers ages 14–17 are not eligible for the Core Company but are encouraged to audition for the Resonance Apprentice Program.

The Apprentice Program provides younger dancers with an opportunity to begin training and performing within a professional company environment while continuing their education at their home studio.

Whether or not a dancer is currently affiliated with a studio, the Apprentice Program is designed to supplement(not replace)their existing dance education.

We strongly encourage dancers to continue training at their home studios. Resonance provides additional training, performance opportunities, and exposure to new concepts and approaches to movement.

Our goal is to help each dancer expand their perspective, develop new skills, and bring that experience back into their continued dance education.

Resonance is not simply a company you join. It is an environment where you continue to grow as a dancer, artist, and performer.
